What is agreed before equipment leaves, and what applies while it is with you.

Hire period

Duration and extension

All commercial terms are confirmed with the quotation and booking. Hire rates, deposit, transport, fuel, extension, damage and return terms are set out in the quotation for your specific hire, and agreed in writing before despatch. Nothing on this website states a rate, a charge or a fixed policy.

Rate basis, hire duration, how time is counted, consumables, transport, availability and operator support are confirmed in the quotation before booking.

Extension arrangements are confirmed in the written quotation before booking. Equipment kept beyond the agreed period without notice may affect availability for other bookings. How an unnotified overrun is treated is confirmed in the written quotation before booking.

Deposit

Security and settlement

Whether a deposit applies, and on what basis, is confirmed with the quotation and booking.

Condition

Handover and return

Handover, return condition, cleaning, accessories, inspection and treatment of damage or missing parts are confirmed in the written quotation before booking.

Loss & damage

Responsibility while on hire

Responsibility during hire, site-security requirements, and treatment of loss, theft or damage are confirmed in the written quotation before booking.

Fuel

Basis and charges

Where equipment is fuelled, the fuel basis is stated at booking. Use the fuel and lubricant grades specified for the machine.

Transport

Delivery, collection and access

Delivery and collection arrangements and charges are confirmed with the quotation. Site access — road width, turning space, unloading arrangement and floor level — must be confirmed before despatch. The arrangement, responsibility and any applicable charge are confirmed in the written quotation before booking.

Operator & safety

Competence and use

Equipment must be operated only by competent persons and only for its intended purpose. Guards, safety devices and manufacturer instructions must not be bypassed.

Where operator support is required, tell us so availability and scope can be checked. Work requiring a licence or certification must be carried out by qualified personnel.

Do not modify equipment or allow it to be used by anyone not competent to do so.

Availability

Booking and confirmation

Availability is confirmed at booking, not at enquiry. Where a machine becomes unavailable, we will say so; any alternative that may be available is confirmed in the written quotation against the requirement.
