The consumable that costs you the day
A grinding disc costs very little. Stopping a pour to go and find one costs the afternoon. The items below are the ones sites most often run short of, and they are the ones worth keeping a box of in the van.
- Thin cutting discs. The most consumed item on any steel job, and the one most often down to the last two.
- SDS bits in the common sizes. They wear, they snap, and the size you need is always the one that broke.
- Diamond blades matched to the material. A tile blade on concrete glazes over and stops cutting. Using the wrong blade is slower and more expensive than the right one.
- Chisels in the right shank. Hire a breaker and bring the wrong shank and the machine is useless. Confirm shank type when you book.
